EGGCELLENT CAFÉ COMING TO THE LEVEE DISTRICT
(EAST PEORIA, IL – March 2, 2021) – Cullinan Properties, Ltd. is pleased to announce a new breakfast option coming to The Levee District this spring with the opening of Eggcellent Café. Serving breakfast and lunch, Eggcellent Café will be located in the 2,406 SF space adjacent to Guilty Pleasures Cupcake Bakery and Sola Salon Studios, across from McDonald’s.
Eggcellent Café will feature healthy, organic food for their breakfast and lunch offerings. Cage-free eggs will be a restaurant staple among entrees such as omelets, breakfast skillets and eggs Benedict. The restaurant will also offer avocado toast, pancakes and French toast, plus coffee, mimosas and Bloody Marys.
“Everything will be freshly made in-house,” stated Tim Halili, co-owner/operator of Eggcellent Cafe. “We don’t believe in frozen food and don’t even have a freezer in our restaurant kitchen. We’re very particular about every ingredient that goes into our menu items,” stated Halili.
Husband-and-wife team, Tim and Besa Halili, previously owned and operated Red Apple Family Restaurant in their hometown of Sullivan, IL, serving traditional American fare. The couple fell in love with the Peoria area and made the decision to relocate and start a new restaurant, taking the popular breakfast options from Red Apple Family Restaurant and making it the focus of Eggcellent Café.

Eggcellent Café will open at The Levee District this April.
