EXCITING NEW TENANT OPENINGS AT STREETS OF ST. CHARLES

Spring and Summer 2019 Grand Openings Mark Continued Expansion of the Bustling Property

(Peoria, IL, March 18, 2019) – 2019 has already proven to be a banner year of growth at Streets of St. Charles – the place to live, shop, dine and be entertained, located at Interstate 70 at South Fifth Street – as Cullinan Properties, Ltd. welcomes several new retail tenants opening this Spring and Summer. The first to hit the Streets is Cherry Blow Dry Bar, having officially opened its doors March 6th, which will be followed by Play Street Museum, which opens Monday, March 25th. Later this Spring and early Summer will be Narwhal’s Crafted and YogaSix, which are starting construction later this month.

Cherry Blow Dry Bar at Streets of St. Charles is the franchise’s first location in the St. Louis market. Cherry offers traditional blowouts, dry styles, updos, and a variety of special hair styling services. Salon customers can take advantage of grand opening specials for new clients now through March 20th, with blowouts starting at just $25. The St. Charles franchise is owned by Lance and Abby Millican, who chose Streets of St. Charles for the energy, location and sense of community at the development. Cherry Blow Dry Bar is located on Lombard Street between Bar Louie and the AMC Theater.

Play Street Museum is another first in the St. Louis market for the Texas-based franchise. Play Street Museum has a ribbon cutting scheduled for this Friday, March, 22nd, with its official grand opening set for March 25th. The concept was founded by a mother of four to create an interactive play environment in which her children could learn and have fun through their playtime experience. Franchise owners Nicole Simon and Kellie Geraghty felt that St. Charles was the perfect place to start for Play Street Museum’s entry into the market. They are located on Beale Street next to Saints Avenue Bank.

Early summer will mark the grand opening of Narwhal’s Crafted, the first retail tenant to occupy the new 3-story 60,000 sf mixed-use retail/office building at the corner of Beale and Lombard Streets. This is the second location for the St. Louis-based frozen cocktail bar whose owners, Brandon Holzhueter and Brad Merten, believed that Streets of St. Charles was the perfect place for their expansion in the market.  Known for its unique, thoughtfully crafted boozy slushies, Narwhal’s offers tasty non-alcoholic options as well.

Also occupying the newest building for the project will be YogaSix, a unique concept that’s designed to change the way people think about and experience yoga. The experience connects yoga to a practice that it energizing, empowering and fun, with levels designed for everyone. This is YogaSix’s third location in St. Louis.  Choosing Streets of St. Charles was the perfect complement to expand the brand’s reach. The grand opening is scheduled for mid-summer.  YogaSix is expected to participate in the upcoming season of Yoga on Beale, Streets of St. Charles’ monthly outdoor yoga classes which take place on the second Saturday of each month, May through September.

“The tenants who continue to join the Streets of St. Charles community extend our vision of creating a vibrant experience for visitors, residents and office employees,” said Kathleen Brill, Vice President, Director of Leasing for Cullinan Properties. “Each of these new businesses brings something you can’t find elsewhere in the market, which we believe will further enhance the already vibrant energy of the property and draw guests from all over the region.”

Streets of St. Charles also recently announced the addition of Elekta as its newest office tenant, whose 100+ employees will occupy 40,000 of space on the upper floors of the building above Narwhal’s and YogaSix. The Streets of St. Charles site was chosen for providing employees with a “vibrant environment to live, work, dine and play in a diverse and stimulating urban-like setting,” according to Garth Andrews, Senior Vice President of Global Engineering at Elekta.

“We’re excited to have built a community that people love and want to be a part of,” said Brill. “Watch for future tenant announcements!”
