QUINCY MALL LOOKS FORWARD TO NEW MEDICAL ANCHOR
(Peoria, IL – October 25, 2018) – Cullinan Properties, Ltd. is pleased to announce Quincy Medical Group’s plans to establish a new surgery center and cancer treatment center at Quincy Mall. The proposed medical uses will occupy the former Bergner’s space at the mall, creating a more dynamic mixed-use center in Quincy.
Cullinan Properties, a leading mixed-use real estate developer, states that having a tenant like Quincy Medical Group at Quincy Mall creates a stronger mixed-use property and makes Quincy Mall a more viable and attractive destination at a time when the retail climate is ever-evolving. “Quincy Mall continues to be the primary shopping destination for people in the Quincy area and the region, and we are thrilled to add a medical component to the mall, said Sean Garrett, President of Acquisitions and Director of Community Relations for Cullinan Properties, Ltd. “Quincy Medical Group will serve as a complement to the variety of retailers, restaurants, entertainment and services at the mall.”
Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore stated, “Quincy Medical Group and Cullinan Properties have worked together to find a creative and environmentally-friendly solution to adaptively re-use the old Bergner’s building.
This project will create hundreds of jobs in healthcare and construction and will help support the businesses at the mall which provide employment for so many people in the community.” Mayor Moore went on to say that, “Since Quincy Medical Group will draw in patients and their families from miles away, their presence at Quincy Mall will help generate sales tax dollars from outside the City.”

Cullinan Properties is still working to identify additional new national retail tenants for the mall in addition to finding local tenants through their Kickstart program that has launched three restaurants at the mall in the last year.
